In February 2014, under the leadership of the Estonian Bureau of the European Youth Archimedes started the project «HUKK-AP ehk HUviKoolide Kaasamise ja Arengu Programm» (HUKK-AP or program of involving and developing hobby schools).
Its purpose is to increase the accessibility of activities of interest for young people at risk and create conditions for their regular involvement and participation. Project activities in Ida-Viru County are being implemented by non-formal learning center VitaTiim, working closely with the Narva Children Creativity House, Young Sailors’ Club, Sillamae youth center "Beehive", Jõhvi center of culture and interests, NGO LAD, Ahtme and Paju Schools. Under the project, more then 120 young people of Ida-Viru tried different activities of interests and learned how a hobby can be a starting base for future work and career planning. At the same time experts working with youth increased their competences.
The project is financed by the open competition «Noorte- ja noorsootööorganisatsioonide võime kaasata riskilpasi ja noori on paranenud» program of the European Economic Area "Riskilapsed ja -noored".
